Massage shops in tourist areas display very attractive prices on signs outside (e.g., 'Thai Massage 200 THB'). Once inside and after the massage, you are told the displayed price was for a 30-minute session, not the hour you received. Oil, 'premium service,' or other add-ons you did not request are added to the bill. Staff may also aggressively demand a tip on top of the inflated price. The original sign is worded ambiguously on purpose. Some places in Patong, Walking Street, and Khao San Road are repeat offenders.
